that driver seat definitely has a whole lot more azz time than 25,000 miles on it.

new that thing was only around $60,000 fully loaded.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Yeah with 55.000, 6 speed, ac, something close to that. I think a r600 285, 5 speed, 38,000 black bumper truck was in the low 40's

Well this isnt tyhis trucks first rodeo, it was on here once before many years ago

Was purchased new with maybe 1/2 dozen others at the time

Reckon it was a bit less coin, so maybe the purchaser then is selling it now

Not a bad deal to me, rust free double rail chassis, rust free cab, virtually a brand new truck

You'll never be able to get another one that good and original

Pretty sure it wasn't lined or pin striped back then, just the base colours

Guessing this bloke has bought it then and personalized it

Yes it's a lotta coin, but were else are you gunna buy one like it

I seam to recall the seat had some story behind it

Maybe the new seat was swapped with another truck in the fleet, but it was a genuine deal last time and maybe 10,000 miles then

No matter, it was very low mileage

If it was what I wanted, I probably would just buy it

Life has enough regrets already without adding "I regret buying that almost new 1984 R model in 2025"

I agree 100% with you Paul. Its way outta my pocket range....and itd cost 6000$ to ship to Ireland then 45%tax to import. That 45% is payable on the price paid for the truck and the shipping....75k+6k=81k plus 35k tax=116k......OUCH

Yes, if I was to buy and import it to Australia I could never get it registered as the looneys running the show have made a rule that any heavy vehicle over 10 years of age imported into Australia isn't allowed to be registered

Rule change came into effect July 2024

Apparently that's gunna save the world

They havent done that in the EU...YET but they have made it so expensive few will do it.A big part of that 45%tax is a smoke tax....I mean come on a vintage vehicle doing 2/3000 miles a year is goona ruin the planet.....yeah right...
