A photo i found on large car but i have not seen one before.

I'll bet a one off handmade sleeper. Sure looks good.

At first I look I thought it was a early 70s RS700L but after Looking at the hood it does look like a R700. the fenders drop down past where the batt boxes should be. The RS700 fenders stop and a splash guard is used. it looks like they did alot of little mods to the truck.It has a diffrent bumper, batt boxes removed cab/sleeper work. that fuel tank is a little small for a road truck and not sure if its a mack tank, even has the tall air cleaner tube.

Nice old R tho!

It doesn't have the treadplate steps with the two holes either.

Very good looking unit in my opinion.

may be the back of a F model cab.

That was my first thought. At least the owner kept it in the family. I have seen CH cabs with integral bunks for export and Aussie markets. We also know the B's had a sleepercab option years ago. Maybe this is a rare factory original? The metalwork looks very professional.

Did early F models have that style of bunk side window? With the profile of the R cab extending into the sleeper sure makes it look factory...........or a great custom build.

I believe this was an "aftermarket" conversion, maybe an Orville conversion, I just saw a photo of another integral cab R in a magazine. I'll try to track it down and post it along with this post. Doug

As Doug said it has the look of an orville sleeper the side window looks like their trademark. I worked out of Dundalk Marine Terminal (Baltimore, Maryland) with a Sonny Womack had similar factory looking integral sleeper on a R-600 Mack 673 with a Duplex. Joe D.

It is possible that it's a Bunk that was built in Charlotte N.C. . If you look at B-73-----75 photos at Hank's site, you'll see the similarlity. Everyone likes a good Mackmystry

you could be right and they were called Charlotte sleepers and were integral in appearance. Several in some Holtzman and Adams books too.
