Hello,

I have a 64 B61T and the brake lights have stopped working. Does anone know where to look for the brake light switch?

Hi Eric my stop light switch is on the inside of the drivers side frame rail behind the cab it has 2 wires going into the top mine has a plastic top on it that looks like it comes off but I never took it apart mine was a broken wire. mine is a 1957 B61 I don't know if all used the same switch or not hope this helps .

Mines on the frame, under drivers corner of cab. Shouldn't be too hard to come up with one as probably the same as used today?

Check to see if wires are broke at switch before replacing it. Touch them together and see if lights work.

The brake light switches that have the removeable top are

typically rebuildable. It's just a diaphragm that contacts two

posts to complete the circuit when air pressure causes the movement.

Rebuilding them is cheaper than buying new.

Hello,

I had a chance to look at the wiring on my truck over the weekend. My brake light switch has two wires and is connected to some copper tubing that comes out of the brake treadle. The switch is on the left frame rail behind the cab. I had a broken wire, it works fine now. Thanks for your help!
