Last I heard Dan Thomas in Oregon is the owner of this truck. If you don't know him he has a W-71 Mack, and a LTL both very nice trucks. He has his trucks on the ATHS videos, but not the H-63. Look around on Hanks Truck Pictures you will see the pics and it stated Dan's the owner......Otherdog might be able to shed some light on the subject also.

Thanks for the responses. Well, I know who owns the truck and I've seen quite a few pictures of it, but what I'm really interested in is speaking to someone who can give me specific details (wheelbase, suspension, how the engine sets in the frame, radiator size, etc).

I've heard about this truck since back in the early 70's, but never had the opportunity to see it on the road. I've restored other H models, but I've always been interested in this particular truck.

the story that I think was in WOT? had a write up on what motors and gearboxes were in the truck thry the years of ownership. Also a few storys of running the truck out on the road with some risky runs etc... If you dont get a reply from the current owner look over at the ATHS you might find someone that remembers that mag issue. II just looked at the covers of My WOT issues and could not find it. It might have just been a write up on the internet that im thinking of??

Here is Joe the last time he was with his truck at the ATHS Fontana show. He was pushing 90 yrs old then. He would come over in the afternoon and sit with the truck. As you can see he would draw a crowd. He is a regular truck driving poet.
