I am in the market for a single axle dump again. I have found a couple of trucks, one has the 300 with 2 valve and the other a 4 valve. Other then the years built and I would guess better parts availability for the 4 valve, is there any plus or minus features with each? Durability issues. Both have engine brakes.

i dont know that much, but from what ive seen with the few trucks ive worked with, there good engines either one, if maintained properly then there great. only thing i would see different is the power delivery might be different because of the 4 valve vs the 2 valve. but i dont know for sure. another thing i would look at the rest of the truck to make sure its everything you want exactly and have the make or break your decision.
