Hello, and yes my real name is William B. Mack. With a last name like this, It's no wonder I'm interested in the old Mack trucks. I'm 55. but after 4 years in the Navy as a diesel mechanic, I bearly like changing my own oil. I have reciently come across some older Macks, the B series..I was looking for information about parts, and services.

I think it's about time I started looking into working on these old trucks.

If I can't pick up the truck I'm looking for, I'll turn it over to you guys.

Are you related to the 5 Mack brothers that founded the company,John,William,Charles,Augustus and Joseph?

I hate to say it, but NO, I'm not.

But my family comes from exactly the same part of town that they did, The reason I know is I contacted the Mack Corp. When I told them who I was, the next day I had some family history they wanted me to look at, just to make sure. I sent the whole package to my Mom, and she said, wishful thinking.

The old family name was, Machetsek. My Dad, and his Dad changed it in 1940, They didn't what to be foriner's.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Billy Mack

you might be related to billy mack that drove the "widow maker" :SMOKIE-LFT:

The widow maker???

I haven't a clue.

But thanks for the thought.
