Its an interesting concept but Scania has been using turbo compounding for a few years. Its a bit of a misleading name as there is only one turbo charger to provide boost but there is a second turbine that is geared into the rear gear housing. Voith developed the system with DD and they also developed one for The Iveco Cursor engine.
