VERY CAREFULLY. I had one w a broken spring, but I decided to purchase a new one and not take a chance with the old one coming apart unexpectedly. I think the entire new can was $65.00 from NAPA (3030?) for my 72 L800. I've heard stories of these coming apart even while being caged-something I didn't want to experience firsthand. Mike

Is it just me or did those buffalo wings taste like chicken?

well i rather replace the chamber.

if youtube shake hands with danger you will see the force a spring from a brake chamber.

also i don't know if the '85 has the clamps on the chamber or not.

along with that i don't if napa or other supplyers sells the springs to the chambers.

to me it is safer to replace the chamber. :mack1:

I've had one come apart in my hand. Since then I just throw them away and put a new one on when needed.
